After the narrowest of wins against Loughborough University U21 XV last week, Bedford Academy take on another University side on Saturday; this time Cambridge University U21 XV.

Bedford again rotate their squad and make ten changes (four of them positional) to the starting lineup that beat Loughborough.

In the back line Tom Whiteley (Saracens) makes his debut at scrum half as Chris Easton moves to fly half; Luke Hibberd starts on the wing, Cameron Gregory-Ring at centre and Jack Stapley at full back, as Ben Meaden moves to centre. In the pack Sam Copeland comes in at 2nd row, as Josh Fadden moves to the back row, and Oli Robinson starts at No. 8. Felix Maddison moves to open side and captains the side .

The game is at the Cambridge University ground, Grange Road, Cambridge, CB3 9BN.  Kick off is 2.00 pm.

Bedford Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said …”It was good to get a win last week in terrible weather against Loughborough, but this week we are looking for much better game management, and for us to control the game better.  At times over the last few weeks we have been a bit naive, and have tried to play too much rugby, when we should have been playing for field position."

"Cambridge will be tough opponents.  They are unbeaten so far this season, and are building for their Varsity clash with Oxford at Twickenham in a few weeks time.”

Bedford:  Josh Waller, Owen Griffiths, Hayden King, Alex Burman, Sam Copeland, Josh Fadden, Felix Maddison (capt), Oli Robinson; Tom Whiteley, Chris Easton; Luke Hibberd, Cameron Gregory-Ring, Ben Meaden, Scott Lyle; Jack Stapley: Replacements: Ben Wilkinson, Ralph Adams-Hale, Liam Appleton, Callum Strachan, James Aylott, Stuart Livesey, Max Titchener.
