The Blues Academy travel to Cambridge for their second game against an older students side in a week.  They take on the Cambridge University LX Club (the University’s 2nd XV) on Saturday October 14th at Grange Road, Cambridge.  KO is 2.00 pm.

Bedford make eight changes to their starting lineup (one positional) with hooker Michael Bond, prop Jack Culverhouse, flanker JonJo Fanning, scrumhalf Dylan Leney, fly-half Ben Phillips, centre Paul Aguele and full back Liam Shields all starting, and Jacob Moody moving to 2nd row.

Making their debuts in the Blues squad are Moulton College 2nd row Cameron Lawes and ex-Moulton flanker Jacob North. The side will be captained by prop Charley Robinson.

Blues Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said: “We were slow to start again last week against Loughborough University, and the lads looked rusty in the first half.  Cambridge University LX Club will be a tougher proposition this week.  We will be up against a side who will be 2 – 3 years older.  These type of games really stretch young players, and they can learn a lot from them.  The lads have trained well this week, and are raring to go.”

The game is at Grange Road, Cambridge, CB3 9BN at 2.00 pm.
