The Blues Academy welcome the New South Wales Country XV to Goldington Road on Sunday, Kick Off at 2.00 pm. 

The New South Wales Country Rugby Union (NSWCRU) claim to be the largest Rugby province in the world and cover over 80% of the regional and rural areas of New South Wales outside the Sydney metropolitan district - over one hundred clubs with a Senior, Junior, Schools and Women player base of over thirty six thousand people.  The NW Country U18 XV are touring the UK and playing games against Glamorgan Wanderers and Oaklands College/Saracens as well as Bedford Blues Academy.

Bedford supporters have the chance to support the Academy at home - Kick Off is 2.00 pm, the bar is open, all are welcome.

Bedford are without a number of players due to injury or illness; prop Josh Pierterse, hooker Josh Taylor, 2nd Row Joss Morgan, flankers Kennett O'Neill and Ryan Brett-Williams, No 8 Dan Martin, and centres George Elliott and Michael Phillips all miss the game due to injury or illness.  England U16 hooker Garth Spencer makes his first Blues Academy start, fly half Dan Lewis starts with Cameron Gregory-Ring moving to full back,  The Australian twins Keano and Dylan van Dieman start at wing and centre and Saracens 2nd row Zak Farrance makes his debut from the bench.  Scrum half Kieran Duffin captains the Blues.

Blues captain, James Pritchard, who has returned from International duty with Canada, will attend the game to welcome NSW.  Pritch was born in Parkes, New South Wales, and played his early rugby in NSW for Paramatta Eels (Rugby League) and Randwick (Rugby Union).
