It’s been an up and down start to this year’s Six Nations for England Under 20s. They suffered a narrow defeat in their opening game against Ireland in Cork before beating reigning World Champions France convincingly at Sandy Park with tries from Sleightholme, Willis and Adkins. In round three it took a last-minute Welsh try to get the better of England.

Italy got their campaign off to a flying start with a superb victory over Scotland at Netherdale. Their strength in the pack was on full show as two of the front row got on the score sheet in the bonus point win.

Losses to Wales and Ireland have followed, but Italy will be looking for a response in a home away from home in Bedford this Friday against an England side aiming to push up the table.
