This November the Nation will be commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1 which concluded with the armistice being declared on Monday 11/11/1918.

To mark this occasion, Bedford Rugby Followers Association are holding an Armistice Dance on Saturday 17th November 2018 in the Scrum Hall at Goldington Road, open to all from 7pm.

The rugby ground at Goldington Road was in fact used as a military camp during WW1 and in tribute the Scrum Hall, built in 1910, will be decorated to resemble a WW1 NAAFI.

Live music from around the time will be provided by the hugely entertaining band “The Gatsby’s”. Guests will enjoy a three-course meal, featuring food from the time with a modern twist.

In true Strictly Come Dancing style there will be experts on hand to teach some of the dances popular at the time. A number of other surprises are being lined up to make this a uniquely special event to mark a landmark date.

Guests are encouraged (it’s not compulsory) to wear period dress to add to the occasion with doors opening at 7pm and close at midnight.

Tickets can be purchased for just £25 from the Followers Office on Match days or by E-Mailing or
