JOB OPPORTUNITIES: COMMUNITY RUGBY COACHES

Bedford Blues are currently recruiting Community Coaches to support the development and delivery of the Blues Community Rugby programme.

Blues Community continue to work in schools, clubs and organisations across Bedfordshire and require further coaches to deliver projects ahead of the 2018/19 season.

Reporting to the Head of Community, Jon Phillips, these opportunities offer great flexibility with a variety of part-time or occasional sessions available. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To deliver high quality coaching sessions to people of all ages, genders and abilities.
  • To identify areas of growth for the community department.
  • To take a professional approach to the planning, preparation and organisation of coaching sessions.
  • To maintain a sound knowledge of the club’s safeguarding policies, reporting procedures and process of communication.
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of all participants in coaching sessions.
  • To undertake any other necessary and relevant duties under the direction of the Head of Community.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A valid UK driving licence
  • A passion for sport and the development of inclusivity
  • Experience of working with children
  • RFU Level 2 coaching qualification in rugby (or working towards one)
  • A game-based approach to coaching

DESIRABLE:

  • A current safeguarding qualification or DBS certificate
  • First Aid qualified
  • Knowledge of the local rugby landscape is preferable

Hourly rate / salary will be competitive and based on experience.
