Bedford Blues have launched their one-off pink and green strip ahead of the annual Ladies Day fixture at Goldington Road this Saturday (KO 3pm).  To make a silent bid for one of the jerseys click here.

In an imperative Championship clash against Doncaster Knights, the Blues will once again be raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support with a host of on and off field activities planned, as well as the shirt auction.

Ladies will gain match day entry on a buy one get one free basis at the gate, for all our pink drenched men, buy tickets online to save £4.

The Blues returned to winning ways last weekend at The Emerald Headingley Stadium against Yorkshire Carnegie. The match saw Mike Rayer’s men run in three forwards tries while Jacob Atkins and Will Hooley added 13 points from the boot.

The visitors will be looking to bounce back after three straight defeats, including a comprehensive home loss against Jersey Reds last time out. Regulars in the top four in recent seasons, the Yorkshiremen will present a difficult challenge to the Blues.

There is going to be plenty to see and do off the pitch as well, with the Blues Marquee the place to be! On arrival pick up your match day programme and a complimentary glass of rose or fizz thanks to the Eagle Brewery and soak up the atmosphere with Sophia Soul on the mic and Sam Roberts as MC.

The match will once again be sponsored by Fire Safety Services, now of the Churches Fire Group, and will feature a feast of additional treats in the marquee throughout what is set to be a spectacular day. There will be; Beauty Treatments - courtesy of 5th Avenue Hair and Beauty, Cakes from Crumbs, Blind Bear Wine and Gin Bar, Taylor’s Sweet Cart and much, much more.

As always, the upstairs Eagle Bar will have its doors open and be providing a great selection of real ales; including Bedford’s own Eagle IPA, Greene King IPA or our guest ale; Ringwood Brewery’s Boondoggle.

There will be opportunities to get your hands on some exclusive prizes through the Blues auction and raffle, run by Macmillan volunteers. On top of all that there will be a mascot race, fundraising games and a best-dressed lady competition with the winner announced post match in the marquee.

As the teams run out please give a loud cheer for this week’s Autoglass Guard of Honour. This week to keep the Ladies Day theme, we will welcome the Junior Bedford Junior Blues Girls section. If you would like to enter a team, school or group to form our welcome tunnel please email Blues Community on

After the game we’ve got two choices for you; either head to the Blues Marquee for the Anglian Fasteners’ Man of the Match presentation and get your weekend party started with live music from the fantastic Sophia Soul.

Alternatively, head upstairs to the Eagle Bar for the Michael R Peters Final Whistle with live reaction from Blues coaches and players. Remember you can ask the questions yourself - and win a pint of Greene King IPA in the process!
