The Blues return home this Saturday 9th February in Championship action against league leaders and champions elect London Irish in a top of the table clash (KO 3pm). Book online discounted tickets here.

Bedford currently sit in third place, but 16 points adrift of the rampant Exiles, a victory for the home side could however cut the gap to 11 points and bring pressure on to Declan Kidney’s charges.

If Mike Rayer’s men can keep the visitors at bay, not only would it be the result of the season, but Irish would suffer defeat for just the second time in the Championship this campaign having not dropped league points since November.

The Blues can take great confidence in their own home Championship form however, with only one loss all season at Goldington Road, way back in September. A strong 16th man will certainly be needed as the Blues hope to entertain the crowds once again.

As always, there will be plenty to see and do off the field at the Blues on Saturday. Gates open at 12 noon so leave time to grab yourself a programme and make your way to one of our bars to soak up some pre-match atmosphere, including an additional trailer bar for this weekend with a large crowd expected.

Our choice would be the upstairs Eagle Bar where you’ll find a selection of hand-pull ales, including this week’s Guest Ale; Youngs’ London Red Ale.  Arrive early and settle in to watch England U20s take on France U20s on Sky Sports from 12:05pm as we keep a close eye on England’s next generation ahead of hosting the penultimate round at Goldington Road.

Alternatively secure the last remaining table in the Blues Marquee for pre-match hospitality and entertainment. Enjoy a delicious pre-match lunch with MC Sam Roberts on the mic as well as Blues players from just £44pp, email to book.

This weekend's match sponsor, Decant Wine & Cheese Deli, will also have a stall located outside the front entrance of the Blues Marquee, be sure to drop by to try some of their selected items.

As the teams run out, make sure you give a big Blues welcome to Blues Community partner school; St James’ VA Primary School and mascot Stanley Newbold who will be waving the flags as this week’s Autoglass Guard of Honour with the Bedford Bear.

Post-match join the Anglian Fasteners Man of the Match presentation in the Blues Marquee with the ever-brilliant Sam Roberts ahead of an added treat as the fantastic Sophia Soul returns to the mic to get your weekend party started.

For a full day of rugby viewing, head to either the Eagle Bar or Scrum Hall to watch live Six Nations coverage immediately following the Blues game as Wales take on Italy.

Don’t forget to show your colours! The Club Shop is stocked with the latest replica kit as well as leisurewear items and accessories. The shop is located next to the marquee entrance.
