MATCH PREVIEW V CORNISH PIRATES

Bedford Blues will be making the long journey down to Penzance this weekend as they take on the Cornish Pirates in the final round of the Greene King IPA Championship.

While neither team made it into the top four this season, there will still be plenty to play for on the field as Bedford look to respond to the opening day defeat handed out to them by the Pirates at Goldington Road.

The Blues have been hampered with injuries following the league fixture against Yorkshire Carnegie last weekend and make a number of changes to the team. Piers O'Conor and Myles Dorrian start in the backs while Chris Judge, Mike Howard, Ben Adams and Paul Tupai all start up front. There is also a place on the bench for Blues Development player Dan Lewis who has been on loan with Cambridge for the season.
