Bedford Blues will be looking for some festive cheer on Saturday afternoon as they head to the Richmond Athletic Ground to face London Scottish in the GreeneKing IPA Championship.

As the second half of the season gets underway, the battle hardened Blues are looking forward to getting back to League action after two really physical encounters versus Munster ‘A’ in the B & I Cup.

When the Blues welcomed the Exiles to Goldington Road in Round Two of the competition, Bedford ran in six tries to pick up a 44-26 win but Scottish fought back towards the end of the game to pick up a four try bonus point.

Looking ahead to the game, Blues Director of Rugby Mike Rayer said: "We’ve just come off the back of two unbelievably physical games these last two weeks and the good thing is the majority of the squad have all been involved. As a consequence training has been really competitive and selection even more so.

"London Scottish look to play a positive brand of rugby so it should be an exciting contest. It’s a venue our supporters like to travel to, so we want to make sure that they head home happy with plenty of Christmas cheer."

Bedford make eight changes to the team that tasted defeat to Munster A last weekend in the British & Irish Cup as Matt Gallagher, Elliot Clements-Hill and Lee Dickson start in the backs while Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, Alex Penny, Ed Taylor, Alex Rae and Jarad Williams all start upfront.
