It appears that the elusive first win of the season will have to wait another week for Bedford Blues following another single point defeat to a Yorkshire club.

The conditions in Rotherham may have resembled monsoon season making the ball hard to keep hold of, but the Blues adapted well, fought hard, scored the only try of the game through Darren Fox but were ultimately left massively disappointed not to pick up the win.

Bedford Blues have partnered with Bedford Company No Nonsense Technology for the launch of the club’s new website.

The Blues new website has been built to meet the evolving needs of the rugby club.  It has a fresh modern design providing clearer navigation with the new homepage delivering a snapshot of latest headlines and results. The new site is fully compatible with all modern browsers, operating systems and devices as well as being smartphone friendly.

The new look Bedford Blues website will no longer link to an official fans forum or “Have Your Say” as it was known. Following feedback received from supporters and ever increasing issues with regard to running, administrating and moderating Have Your Say, it was decided to close this forum.

The Club believes that moving forward any fans forum should be separate from the official web site.

After three losses in the Greene King IPA Championship Bedford Blues are looking to kick start their season at the Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon when they face high-flying Bristol.

Having put in a much improved performance against Leeds Carnegie last weekend at Goldington Road, the Blues will be hoping to go one step further at the ‘Mem’.

Prop Nico Steenkamp misses out this weekend with a rib injury.

Although the Blues welcome back Darren Fearn, Director of Rugby Mike Rayer has drafted in former Gloucester and Jersey loosehead Richard Barrington on an emergency loan from Saracens.

Bedford Blues are delighted to announce that after ten years of loyal service as a player and Director of Rugby, the 2013/14 Greene King IPA Championship will be a Testimonial Season for Mike Rayer.
