Former Players’ Spring Lunch
The Spring Lunch was held in the marquee on Saturday 23 April with 120 former players present.
Included were 16 of the original party who toured Canada in 1975. Tour Manager Ken Phillips travelled from his home in Spain to be there and, of course, it’s always good to see the tour captain Budge Rogers at Former Players’ functions.
Ian Peck was the excellent M.C. He congratulated former player Mike Rayer on reaching a total of 500 games as Director of Rugby and welcomed the Former Players’ guest Sally Wilkinson, wife of the late Bob Wilkinson to the lunch.
As always a very successful raffle was held by the F.P.A.
