Obituary - Rick Morel

It is with great sadness that we must share the news that former player Rick Morel has passed away, after a long battle with cancer.

Rick, who was 64 years old, played at the club, mainly for the Rovers and Wanderers in the late 70s and early 80s. After his Bedford rugby career, Rick joined Olney RFC, playing there in the 80s and 90s. He captained the 1^st XV from 1987-89, leading them to the Lewis Shield Victory in 1989. He continued supporting the club and was ever-present at Olney’s home matches.

Our thoughts are with his wife Jackie, children Harriett, Sam, Lucy, Amy, Tilly and Nancy, and his stepsons George and Ollie, at this very sad time.
