Match Focus: Ealing under the Friday night lights
Bedford Blues face Ealing Trailfinders under the Friday night lights this weekend as Championship league rugby returns to Goldington Road (Kick Off 7:45pm).

Only a month since the Blues last faced Ealing in Bedford, Mike Rayer’s men will be eager to even the tables against Ben Ward’s side with vital league points up for grabs.
Since the last meeting, Blues have improved their fortunes with a win over Yorkshire and a narrow last minute one-score loss to Coventry last time out, but the boys will still be hurting after the defeat by Ampthill in the last home outing.
Ealing themselves suffered a comprehensive defeat at the hands of Cornish Pirates on the opening league weekend, but bounced back with an emphatic with over Jersey last weekend, putting over 50 points on the Islanders.
The Blues have finished third in the league table two years on the trot, with Ealing pipping them to second on both occasions, but Bedford took the home spoils last season giving them confidence to hunt a similar result against an extremely strong Ealing side that have again invested heavily in their squad.

In a new addition to the ground, the Club are attempting to make a mini supporter village between the SDC Suite and Former Players on the north-east side of the ground.
