Match Preview v Ealing Trailfinders

Bedford Blues will be making full use of their squad this weekend as Mike Rayer makes nine changes for the Championship Cup clash against Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday afternoon.

Only Pat Tapley, Fraser Strachan, Lewis Robling, Oli Curry, Will Carrick Smith and Dan Temm retain their places in the starting XV for the trip to west London with the latter being named captain for the fixture.​

Ed Coulson returns to action at fullback and there is a first start of the season for Dean Adamson on the wing while Oskar Hirskyj-Douglas gets the number 13 jersey and James Lennon starts at scrum half.​

There's a new front row of Joe Wrafter, Jacob Fields and Karl Garside while Josh Buggea starts at openside flanker and Huw Worthing returns at number eight .​

There is also a welcome return to action for Sam Leeming who is named in the replacements bench with the prospect of making his first appearance since picking up a knock against Trailfinders in the reverse fixture of this game back in September. ​

Sam is joined on the bench by the front row of Sean McCarthy, Robbie Smith and Henry Paul as well as the Onojaife brothers Jordan and Devante. Grayson Hart and Charlie Reed complete the 23 man squad.​
