Match Preview v Nottingham

Posted: 15th November 2019

Bedford Blues take to the road once again this weekend as they head up the M1 to face Nottingham at the Bay on Sunday afternoon in the Greene King IPA Championship.

Although Bedford head into the game off the back of a 6-11 defeat to Newcastle, spirits are high following a morale-boosting performance against the former Premiership side in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Bedford versus Nottingham is usually a closely fought contest and the Blues will be expecting much of the same once more from the team currently sitting seventh in the Championship, two points ahead of Mike Rayer’s men.

The Blues make just one change from the team which ran the Falcons close last weekend with Fraser Strachan coming in at outside centre in place of Ed Coulson. On the bench, Jimmy Stevens - who spent two seasons with Nottingham - joins on loan from Leicester Tigers while Matt Worley also returns to the matchday squad.
