Blues Foundation: Operations Support Manager Vacancy
Blues Foundation will be the charitable arm of Bedford Blues Rugby Club. Operating in the background for the last 12 months, the new community development will launch in 2020 and are seeking to appoint an Operations Support Manager to lead the new project.
Working across Bedfordshire and neighbouring areas, the vision of the Foundation is to inspire the community through the values of rugby for the advancement and promotion of positive and informed lifestyle choices.
Role purpose: To assist the Board of Trustees in creating clear plans and support the growth of the new charity, whilst managing the delivery of the community projects and associated income to support these activities.
In this role, your accountabilities and responsibilities are:
Project Management
- Responsible for supporting the Foundation to identify potential projects and grants
- Working with the Trustees to shape these activities with partners, investors, donors and commissioners
- Support and manage fundraising activities and charitable events
- Developing relationships with and managing our delivery partners
- Manage and maintain marketing activities, to include website and social media channels
Planning and Budgeting
- Collaborate with other organisations in the community and within Bedford Blues to coordinate dependencies across projects
- Review, report and update plans informally as required by the Trustees
- Translating the strategic vision into operational excellence
- Identifying potential savings or additional spend in light of changing circumstances
- Manage plans for expenditure and income budgets
Insight and Performance
- Report on performance back to the Trustees against agreed measures providing analysis on areas of risk and improvement
- Using insight to target key areas for our investment and providing recommendations on how to mitigate and improve
Candidate Profile
- Experience of project planning, budgeting and performance management within an
- Knowledge and experience of attracting investment from grant giving bodies and
- A disciplined approach to task management and an eye for detail
- Enthusiasm and a passion for achieving goals
