Bedford Blues Rugby Club and Bedford Junior Blues are using specialist sanitising products to enable them to return to operations, training and events as the coronavirus lockdown eases.
The Clubs will use two products; MediSeptic, for hand sanitising, and Bacoban disinfectant, for surface and equipment cleaning; chosen for their long-lasting effect.
Bedford Blues Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred said: “The last few months have been extremely challenging, but we have been planning, risk assessing and managing a return to events, training and general operations behind the scenes. Thanks to the support of Springfield Business Supplies we have been able to accelerate some of these areas in the safest way possible.”
The players, staff and public are using MediSeptic hand sanitiser when entering the ground, which lasts for at least two hours on hands and has been used by players in Germany’s Bundesliga during the Behind Closed Doors return to football.
MediSeptic is scientifically proven to kill viruses, including coronavirus, fungus and bacteria for two hours before the need to re-apply. It is made from natural ingredients and does not contain alcohol, making it safe for all skin types and sensitivities.
As for cleaning the Club and equipment, such as rugby balls, tackle bags, tags, post protectors and changing rooms, Springfield have supplied Bacoban, a long-lasting disinfectant which protects for up to 10 days on treated surfaces. Bacoban is a leading disinfectant in the medical sector.
