Vacancy | Bedford Blues Community Apprentice

Bedford Blues are looking to recruit an apprentice to help support the development and growth of their thriving Blues Community department.

The purpose of the role is to join a team of coaches to help support and implement our programmes within Bedfordshire.

The successful individual will deliver as part of our coaching service and establish, where possible, new fields of business. They are also required to have a growth mindset, be committed to developing themselves and others around them and be confident undertaking work alone.

A normal working week will consist of 30 hours (and all Home match days) and the successful individual will be based alongside Head of Community, Adam King at the club’s Goldington Road offices.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  •   To deliver high quality coaching sessions to schools, clubs and businesses within the community.
  •   Work alongside our coaching staff and support network on our programmes.
  •   Promote Bedford Blues at events, matchdays and schools.
  •   Identify new revenue streams and help with new programme creations.
  •   Deliver on Bedford Blues Rugby Camps, matchdays and school programmes.
  •   Understand Blues Community’s safeguarding policies and the correct communication procedure.
  •   Undertake a professional approach to the planning, preparation and execution of coaching and training sessions.

A Level 2 qualification in sport or similar is preferable but not essential.
