Families Fund project launched

Bedford Blues Community and Blues Foundation are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership to deliver a project which focuses on families getting active together.

Bedford has been selected as one of twelve projects across the country by England Rugby to use rugby and multi-sport to support families get active and create regular positive habits around physical activity and mental wellbeing.

Blues Foundation and Bedford Blues Community will provide FREE weekly sessions for families with children aged 12+ at Bedford Athletic Rugby Club, home of Bedford Junior Blues, where the activities will be based on having fun, being inclusive and accessible games to suit all abilities.

The England Rugby Families Project has been funded by England Rugby, Sport England and team BEDS&LUTON and will take place across 12 months. England Rugby are currently on stage D of their Return to Community Rugby Roadmap, which allows groups of 20 to participate together in a socially distanced environment.

This project will fully adhere to the most up to date government and RFU guidelines regarding COVID-19. All families booked onto the programme will be checked up to date if guidelines are changed.

Families can attend the sessions in the knowledge that all protocols and measures will be stringently followed to keep participants and coaches safe. Book early to secure your family’s space.
