Margaret Saunders sadly passes

It is with deep regret that the Club must share the sad news that lifelong supporter Margaret Saunders has sadly passed away.

Wife to former Club President John Saunders, Margaret was a loyal supporter and servant to Bedford Blues for many years and will be sadly missed by everyone at Goldington Road.

Once described by the Bedfordshire Times as the ‘Mother of the Blues’, Margaret will be fondly remembered by our former players and supporters alike for her hard work, unrivalled organisation and dedicated service towards Club matters, particularly providing post-match meals.

The thoughts of everyone associated with Bedford Blues are with her family at this sad time.
