Robson links up with Bedford Blues

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce the signing of exciting prospect Andre Robson ahead of the 2021 Championship season.

The 20-year-old – who joins from Yorkshire Academy – will provide competition to Mike Rayer’s backs division, equally adept at outside centre or on the wing and possessing lots of raw pace and power.

Graduating from Durham School and the Yorkshire Carnegie age grade system, Robson has had his pathway blocked by injury last season, but is back fully fit and keen to impress at Goldington Road.

Commenting on the signing, Director of Rugby, Mike Rayer said: “Andre has been excellent in training so far and is a real project for us. We will try to nurture him as best we can as he has had a few setbacks in the past, but all the signs are promising so far. He is a very athletic lad with a great attitude and a real thirst to learn and grow.”
