Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues conclude their preparations ahead of the 2021 Championship season by welcoming Ampthill tomorrow (KO 1pm).

Bedford return home for the first time in nearly a year looking to defend their Bedfordshire bragging rights following last weekend’s victory at Dillingham Park.

There are eight changes to the side which started against Ampthill last Saturday with Rich Lane and Will Carrick Smith sharing co-captaincy duties.

Northampton Saints hooker, James Fish has joined the club on a short-term loan and goes into the starting side at Goldington Road.
