Episode 2 of the Championship Clubs Podcast

Following the successful launch of the Championship Clubs Podcast last Friday, we are pleased to confirm that Episode Two is available to download, listen and watch now!

The podcast is hosted by Michael Casey (Commercial Manager at Doncaster Knights) and former Bedford Blues lock, Ben Gulliver and was launched with the intention of promoting, celebrating and showcasing everything that is great about English rugby’s second tier.

On this week's episode are another two players to have formerly worn the Bedford Blues jersey; a member of our 200 club here at Goldington Road, Phil Boulton and loanee from the 2019/20 campaign, full-back Peter Lydon.

Boults has made over 300 appearances in the Championship, the majority of which while at Goldington Road and more recently at old rivals Coventry, where last weekend he joined their illustrious century club. He joins Mike and Ben to discuss his experiences of full and part time environments, the balance of work and rugby and where he feels the Championship fits in to the English rugby ecosystem.

In the second half of this week's podcast, Lydon joins to talk life in the French system where he currently plies his trade with Richard Hill's Rouen in Pro D2; where he features alongside Blues legend Dean Adamson. Prior to that, he spent several years in the Championship with London Scottish, Ealing Trailfinders and the short stint with Bedford.
