20-year celebration of Bedford Rugby Fixture
A Bedford Blues legends fixture will take place on Sunday 30th May to celebrate the last 20 years of rugby at Goldington Road.
To mark Geoff Irvine’s time as Chairman of the club, former players such as; Dean Adamson, Matt Allen, Charlie Clare, Karl Dickson, Lee Dickson, Darren Fox, Sacha Harding, Michael Le Bourgeois, Camilo Parilli-Ocampo, Jon Phillips, Alex Rae, Paul Tupai, Ben Whetstone, Jarad Williams and many more will be in attendance for an adapted laws match.
On the field, Irvine’s time has included a triumphant 2005 Powergen Shield winning campaign, iconic victories away at Munster ‘A’ and Exeter Chiefs, as well as several promotion play-off pushes. Whilst off the field, he helped save the club from obscurity and create a sustainable model for Championship clubs to follow.
The match will take place on Sunday 30th May with a kick-off time of 2pm. Priced at just £10 for Ground Entry tickets, buy online now.
1,000 tickets are on general sale, sold on a first come, first served basis with the opportunity for many supporters, who will miss Saturday’s league finale against Ampthill, the chance to watch some live rugby at Goldington Road.

Social distancing rules will apply throughout Goldington Road with tickets available in the Eagle Stand and around the perimeter of the pitch.
