Join the Team: Match Day Staff Required

Posted: 17th May 2021

Bedford Blues are looking for a mixture of stewards and volunteers to support our Match Day Operations plans as we welcome supporters back to Goldington Road for the Battle of Bedfordshire against Ampthill on Saturday 29 May and the Celebration of Rugby Fixture on Sunday 30 May.

With numerous COVID risk management protocols in place on match day, these roles will be more important than ever to ensure the safety of all the players, operational staff and supporters inside the ground.

Join the Safety team as a Blues Steward or Ambassadorial Volunteer and help improve our spectator safety management, whilst keeping Goldington Road the most enjoyable place to watch Championship rugby.

Main duties include; assisting with the circulation of spectators around the pitch in the build-up to kick-off, ensuring COVID compliance from all spectators including the wearing of face masks, help reduce the likelihood and incidence of disorder and support the fan experience with great customer service and direction throughout these unprecedented times.

To apply, please send an email detailing your relevant experience or skill set to Blues’ Match Day Operations Lead, Lee Smith at lee@bedfordrugby.co.uk or call 07925 521986 for further information.

All successful applicants will be required to come to Goldington Road in advance of the game for a training exercise. This will be discussed at the time of your application.
