Posted: 13th July 2021

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce the arrival of Jake McKenzie as Performance Analyst for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.

The 22-year-old joins the Club from neighbours Ampthill having spent the truncated 2021 Championship season at Dillingham Park. He has spent further time in the elite game through a work placement at our strategic partners, Northampton Saints, spending a summer at the Gardens before the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

Originally from Milton Keynes, McKenzie completed a Sports Performance Analysis Degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University as well as holding the Performance Analyst role for the Men’s University team.

On joining the club, McKenzie said: “I am delighted to be joining Bedford Blues for the 2021/22 Championship campaign.

“Having previously worked in the Championship before and having been to Goldington Road for the Battle of Bedfordshire in May, it was clear to see the size of the Club with its fanbase and I’m looking forward to starting.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with Mike, Alex and the team ahead of what we hope is an exciting full Championship campaign.”
