Blues v Ampthill Double-Header Announced
Bedford Blues are pleased to announce further details for their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2021/22 Championship campaign with a double header against near neighbours Ampthill.
Ampthill v Bedford Blues, Saturday 28th August, Kick Off 3pm at Dillingham Park.
Bedford Blues v Ampthill, Saturday 11th September, Kick Off 3pm at Goldington Road.
Mike Rayer and his charges will be desperate to retain the Battle of Bedfordshire bragging rights secured following victory at Goldington Road in May, while continuing to prepare for the upcoming league competition.
Match tickets for this fixture and the Northampton Saints clash will be on sale next week. Season Tickets are currently on sale, which this year includes both home pre-season fixtures. Looking ahead to the fixtures, Head Coach, Alex Rae said: “We’ve got some things which we’ve sat down and spoken with the senior players about to work on ahead of the upcoming season. We’ll put some of those things into practise during these upcoming games with Ampthill and Northampton.
“A lot of it will of course be about building as a team; getting that message of how Bedford Blues want to play across to the new faces we’ve brought in and let those boys go and express themselves.”
