Friends of the Blues reach milestone
A huge thank you to the Friends of the Blues as the supporter’s group surpasses £200,000 in funds raised and donated to the club.
Incredibly supportive over the last 18 months, the FoBs continue to raise vital funds for projects at the club via various schemes, draws and competitions. This included an exciting new initiative last season which allowed supporters to sponsor the match-day warm-up shirts. These will be rolled over this season so supporters can see them in action at every Championship match as crowds return.
The driving force behind the supporter group has been Howard Travis and Matthew Rawlinson, along with support from other fans, who the club would like to publicly thank for their efforts.
Having broken this latest milestone, Friends of the Blues want to increase their financial support of the Club even further.
You can join its growing number of members by completing a standing order form, and donating from as little as £7 per month.
Your contribution plays a crucial role in funding capital projects that help the Club sustain Championship rugby and improve the ground. In the last few years, the FoBs have helped fund a total refurb of the marquee and a new gym for the players, amongst other projects.
Membership entitles you to the following:
- Entry to prize draws at each Championship match, and the unique try scoring competition, that culminates with one member winning £1,000 cash at the end of the season. Other prizes in those draws include meals for two at top class Bedford restaurants, pre-match hospitality lunches and a variety of other donated prizes.
- Entry to special draws, which in the past have included free airline tickets, holidays and weekends away with the Blues; thanks to sponsors Eagle Travel.
- Entry to the ‘guess the average home attendance’ competition, with a cash prize.
- Plus; two places at the End of Season Friends of the Blues Soiree with the players in the marquee.
