Bedford Blues are proud to announce that US based Service Express, who recently acquired our long-standing partners Blue Chip, will become main sponsors for the 2021/22 campaign.

Announced in February, the acquisition formalises the two companies’ existing multi-year partnership as Service Express continues to expand its global platform.

Blue Chip initially became sponsors of Bedford’s premier sporting club over 10 years ago, before taking the front of shirt rights ahead of the 2014/15 Championship campaign, along with their existing sponsorship itinerary.

President and CEO of Service Express, Ron Alvesteffer said: “We are excited to continue on the Blue Chip tradition of supporting a fantastic Rugby Club. I can’t wait to visit and see the Blues play.”

Bedford Blues Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred added: “Given our very strong relationship with Blue Chip, we are delighted to still retain that connection through the support of Service Express.

“International companies and acquisitions can sometimes lose connections with a community, so it is extremely heartening to receive the ongoing support of the new American owners. They understand supporting local and seem to have really bought into how Blue Chip operate, of which Bedford Blues has become an extension of their family.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming Ron to Goldington Road when he can get across having already seen him in a Blues shirt! A huge thanks to Andy King and Chris Smith who have ensured continuity in our relationship throughout.”

Since 1993, Service Express has been a pioneer in delivering on-site hardware maintenance for mission-critical servers, storage and networking equipment, and has grown rapidly with more than 50 offices across the United States and partnerships around the world.

The addition of Blue Chip is a transformative move for Service Express, bringing together two similar cultures and complementary expertise, leveraging a staff of team members worldwide.
