Former Blue Mark Atkinson stars on Champ Clubs Pod
Episode 2, of Season 2, of the Championship Clubs Podcast is out now!
This week’s episode has been split into two halves, with a very distinct Bedford Blues feel as another to have formerly worn the #BluesFamily jersey stars; centre Mark Atkinson.
Recently called up to the England training squad, Atkinson currently stars for Gloucester in the Premiership where he has been since moving from Bedford in 2014. During his time at Kingsholm, the Cherry and Whites have won the European Challenge Cup and reached the semi-final of the Premiership play-offs.
The 30-year-old earnt his move to the Premiership after a stellar two seasons at Goldington Road, in which Blues reached the Championship play-off final in 2013 alongside some notable runs in the British & Irish Cup.
In the fledgling stages of his career, Atkinson also featured for Sale Sharks, Wasps and Esher.
