One of the newest fixtures having only first met in 2017, Blues have dominated the results in recent years but know it will be an altogether different test against John Barnes’ in-form side this time around.

Rayer has made a total of seven changes from last weekend, including a welcome return for Dean Adamson who has recovered from an injury picked up in pre-season to make his Championship return.

Adamson’s inclusion is one of four alterations to the backs division as the Championship’s leading points scorer, Will Maisey (51 points) returns to the Starting XV as do Scrum Half Alex Day and Ethan Grayson.

The remaining three changes come in the forwards pack as Northampton Saints loanee duo Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi and Karl Wilkins start their first games after appearances off the bench in recent weeks. Luke Frost also comes back in.

Among the replacements, Bailey Ransom returns from illness and Josh Gillespie is in line for his first minutes of the 2021/22 campaign.

Josh Pieterse (hamstring) and Oli Stedman (illness) join Jacob Fields, Will Biggs and Oisin Heffernan on the list of absentees.
