Doncaster v Bedford Postponed
Bedford Blues can today confirm that the scheduled New Year’s Day trip to Doncaster Knights has sadly been postponed due to a number of front row injuries and COVID-19 cases in the Blues squad.
The decision – taken in conjunction with Doncaster Knights and the Rugby Football Union – follows the detailed medical protocols in place to ensure that the health and wellbeing of all players and support staff is protected.
The Disputes Committee will meet soon to determine the next steps.
All supporters who have already purchased tickets for the game at Castle Park are asked for patience at this time and to await confirmation from our hosts as to the next steps regarding any rearranged fixture date.
We understand this decision is incredibly frustrating to our hosts Doncaster Knights and we look forward to renewing acquaintances at a later date in 2022.
