Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues look to return to winning ways while giving the #BluesFamily an early Christmas present when London Scottish travel to Goldington Road tomorrow (KO 3pm).

It is the Exiles’ first visit to Goldington Road in nearly three and a half years and the first meeting between the two historic clubs since January 2020 when a late Dean Adamson try ensured Bedford overturned a 17-point deficit to kickstart the new decade in the perfect manner.

For the 79th competitive meeting between the two sides, Rayer has made six changes from the trip to Coventry last weekend, with three alterations in the backs division and three in the pack.

There are two changes in the front row as Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi makes a welcome return from injury at loosehead, while Ed Prowse is handed the starting tighthead jersey. The final forwards change sees Bailey Ransom return at blindside.

Following his try scoring exploits last time out, Connor Tupai this time starts from the off at scrum-half, while Tom Litchfield and Matt Worley also come back into the Starting XV.

Among the replacements, there is a welcome return for one of last season’s standout performers, Ollie Newman who has featured for Northampton Saints in the Premiership Cup in recent weeks and is now fully recovered from an injury sustained in pre-season.

Jacob Fields and Will Biggs are the only injury absentees.
