Another of English rugby’s most historic fixtures, Bedford have only faced Northampton Saints on more occasions than Coventry, with Rayer’s side looking for their first victory at Butts Park Arena since 2008.

For the 181st meeting between the two sides, Rayer has made two changes to the team which secured victory over Nottingham at Goldington Road, with the first coming in the pack and the other in the backs division.

Joey Conway returns to the Starting XV in the loosehead jersey, while Ethan Grayson comes back in at inside centre following making his Northampton Saints debut two weeks ago in the Premiership Cup.

Among the replacements, Robin Williams is featured in the matchday 23 again following some early season injury problems. He featured for Welsh invitational side, Crawshays last week as part of his recovery.

It means Jacob Fields and Will Biggs are the only injury absentees.
