Blues Women trio called-up to East Midlands
Bedford Blues Women trio Lucy Middleton, Alivia Harris and Martina Sharp have been called-up to the senior East Midlands set-up following a successful trial period earlier this month.
On 13th March 2022, East Midlands held an initial trial training day before a further session more recently. Following these, the trio have been selected to the team.
East Midlands are scheduled to play three games in the Gill Burns Cup, starting with a home fixture against Warwickshire on May 7th. They will then contest back-to-back away fixtures with Eastern Counties and Cheshire on the following weekends.
This news comes at the end of a fantastic debut campaign for Mark Stapley’s side who won the NC3 Midlands (Central) Division title by completing an unbeaten season, acquiring maximum points.
They are now preparing for life in NC2 Midlands (Central) Division. Fixtures for some friendlies in the coming months – to allow further game time for the squad in preparation for the new season – will be announced in due course.
