Bedford Blues begin their preparations for the 2022/23 Championship season by welcoming old friends Rotherham Titans to Goldington Road on Saturday (Gates Open 11am, KO 1pm).

Big Game Preview
Rotherham make their first trip to Bedford since October 2017 to renew an extremely competitive rivalry stretching back 40 years, including most notably the Premiership Play-Off fixtures at the turn of the millennium.
Saturday will be the 48th time the two sides have faced each other. Blues currently lead the standings with 26 victories to Titans’ 20, while there has only ever been one draw.
With Blues’ core squad announced, there are four players in line to make their inaugural appearances as Monty Royston, Charles Rylands, Sean French and Jac Arthur prepare to pull on the Blues shirt for the first time.
Food, Drink and Entertainment
Gates open from 11am, head to the ground early and sample everything we have to offer! Why not grab a complimentary eight page programme at the gate and head to either the Scrum Bar Serving Hatch or The Bedford Barn ‘on wheels this year’ to get your pre-match meal.
There will be three public bars open on matchday; The Scrum, The Former Players and the Eagle Stand Chalet Bar. The Marquee will be open for toilets ONLY.
After the final whistle, The Burrow at the Blues will open to the public including music from DJ Neo (3-5pm) then Bournemouth v Arsenal on the screens (KO 5:30pm).
All Eco Cup donations on matchday will go to our charitable arm, Blues Foundation. Help them continue their outreach and activation by dropping your cup into the charity bin located outside the Scrum Bar.
The Mini Fan Village has undergone an off-season transformation and will be fully operational for the visit of London Scottish in our first home Championship fixture on Saturday 17th September. The SwipeStation system in The Scrum Bar is out of action this week, but will also be back for the Championship season.
Hospitality
Last chance! Book before close of play Wednesday to enjoy our Bottomless Brunch, now in The Dovecote Park Suite.
