TEAM NEWS | Squad announced for pre-season opener
Mike Rayer has named a 24-man squad as Bedford Blues prepare to begin their pre-season schedule by welcoming old friends Rotherham Titans to Goldington Road tomorrow (1pm KO).

The two sides will do battle for the first time since the 2017/18 Championship campaign, when Blues completed the double over the Yorkshire side with two attritional performances.
It will be the 48th time Bedford and Rotherham have faced off throughout history and Rayer has decided to use nearly all the options available to him with only Michael Le Bourgeois and Louis Grimoldby missing out through minor injuries.
All four Summer recruits – Jac Arthur, Charles Rylands, Seán French and Monty Royston – will don the Blues shirt for the first time from the very off having been named in the Starting XV.
Rayer will be able to call upon four exciting Northampton Saints prospects from the bench. Geordie Irvine and Jake Garside both spent time at Goldington Road last season, while we welcome backs duo Matt Arden and Toby Thame into the #BluesFamily.
Jamie Elliott and Jacob Fields have been named co-captains for this fixture.
