Doncaster clash chosen for free streaming coverage
Don’t panic if you can’t make the journey with us to Castle Park this Saturday as the fixture has been chosen for free streaming coverage centrally on the Championship Rugby website.
As part of a new plan announced this morning by the RFU, 10 Championship fixtures will be given free-to-air coverage before the season is out, starting with Doncaster v Bedford (KO 2:30pm).
The remaining nine fixtures will include some of the most competitive games in the Championship and will include a fixture on the final day of the campaign (W/E of 28/29 April). At this stage, no other fixtures have been definitively chosen for the live streaming coverage but will be announced in due course.
RFU Director of Performance, Conor O’Shea said: “Broadening visibility of the league is important for the competition and a key element in driving future commerciality and sustainability while we are looking at the strategic direction of the Championship.”
