Big Game Preview

After a much-improved showing in cup action last time out, Mike Rayer’s men will be determined to return to winning ways this weekend, backed by the Bedford faithful, as they approach a tough Christmas schedule.

It’s fourth versus fifth at GR as the Green and Whites look to avenge the Blues clean sweep of victories in fixtures last season across league and cup competitions.

A traditional rivalry stretching nearly 130 years, Bedford and Nottingham have met on 108 previous occasions. Blues lead the series 73-32, alongside three draws.

Food, Drink and Entertainment

Head to the ground early and sample everything we have to offer! Why not grab a programme and visit one of our seven public bars; our choice would be upstairs in The Eagle Bar, where you can also enjoy a pint of this week’s festive guest ale, Brewdolph, along with home favourite Eagle IPA.

The mini fan village remains ever popular with accompanying Cabin Bar, Coffee & Cake Horsebox and The Burger & Sausage Hut. Additional catering outlets are available next to the entrance and Taylor’s Kitchen from the Scrum Hall serving hatch.

And it's not just the action on the hallowed turf this match day with live racing from Sandown & Aintree on the TVs around the ground in the build-up to KO and Premiership action of Gloucester v Northampton Saints post match.

Swipestation is again in operation, housed in the Scrum Bar. If you are unfamiliar with the system which launched last season, more info is available here.

Post-match Mark Calder and Cameo Williams returns to The CMC Marquee to play you into the evening and Sam Roberts returns to the announcer’s mic after a sabbatical on Premiership duty in recent weeks.

Prostate Cancer UK

Inspired by the efforts of former players, Steve Ashton and Andy Whitehouse (more information on their cycling challenge here), we’ll be teaming up with Prostate Cancer UK on matchday to help boost the total fundraising support for a worthwhile cause.

Find a collection bucket dotted around the ground or drop your Eco Cup into the designated charity bin to show your support.

Blues Foundation Activation

Saturday’s Guard of Honour, sponsored by Bellway Homes, will be Rushden & Higham U14s. Make sure to give them a cheer as they step out onto the pitch to form the pre-match tunnel.
