Bedford Blues look to keep their charge for a Top Four place alive with another 4th v 5th battle for the second week running as they head to Hartpury University under the Friday Night Lights (KO 7:45pm).

Big Game Preview
We’re well and truly into the business end of the season now with just seven Championship league fixtures remaining this term, four of which at Goldington Road and three on the road including this Friday.
Mike Rayer’s side successfully retained their fourth placed position against Doncaster Knights last weekend, maintaining their unbeaten home record in the process, but will face an altogether different challenge on the road with a trip to the Cotswold venue.
Hartpury have been playing some really nice rugby for a couple of seasons now, but particularly in this campaign and will be looking to build on their seventh placed finish last year. An impressive win at Nottingham last weekend means two form sides will collide at The Alpas Arena.
We’ve Met Before
Aside from the introduction of Caldy to the second tier this season, Bedford v Hartpury remains one of the newest fixtures in the club’s history with a first meeting coming less than six years ago.
There have been eleven battles since then, Blues winning nine and Hartpury twice, but a real mixed bag of results following the resumption of the league following the COVID-19 break 18 two years ago.
In 2021/22, both sides secured big away victories against the other, while Blues ground out a 28-21 victory earlier this season featuring a starring role in the scrum from Ehren Painter and a return to action in the Hartpury side for Italy international, Jake Polledri.
