MATCH FOCUS | Blues Women conclude season v Champions
Sunday marks the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign for Bedford Blues Women as they head on the road to the home of this season’s champions, Peterborough (KO 2:30pm).
Darryl Veenendaal and Peter Frost’s side will be looking to end their first season at this NC2 level on the perfect footing but will be more than aware of the challenge ahead against a side who have blitzed their way through the league and strolled their way to the title.

Tests don’t come tougher than this as Bedford Blues Women prepare to face the juggernaut of Peterborough who have a positive points difference of 260 from just 11 matches this season, scoring 295 and conceding 35.
Peterborough took the spoils at Goldington Road back in September but fresh off the back of inspiring performances against 2nd and 3rd in recent weeks, Bedford will be determined to claim a notable victory and beat a side above them in the table.

After a bruising encounter against St Neots, which saw some injuries sustained alongside bumps and bruises, expect changes to the Bedford side for Sunday.

An extremely established side at this level, Peterborough will get a crack at NC1 level next season after a sensational campaign. Their promotion leaves the league wide open with teams such as Bedford, St Neots and Milton Keynes all capable on their day.

A new dawn lies ahead
