TEAM NEWS | Four changes for Knights battle

Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare to return to Championship league action when Doncaster Knights head to Goldington Road under the Friday Night Lights (KO 7:45pm).

The two sides met less than two weeks ago, sharing an 84-point cracker, and meet for the fourth time this season having scored an accumulative 202 points across the previous encounters.

As the next chapter of history prepares to be written, Rayer makes four changes to the side which concluded the Championship Cup group phase, with two notable appearance milestones within the Starting XV.

There are two changes to the backs division and the same number in the forwards pack including a return from a short-term injury layoff for Dean Adamson who will make his 150th Blues appearance under the lights at Goldington Road.

Ethan Grayson also returns to the Starting XV at outside centre, while up-front Oisin Heffernan and Kayde Sylvester slot back in at tighthead and blindside flanker respectively.

Among the replacements, Blues welcome Rory Brand into the #BluesFamily on a short-term deal. We would like to thank Sale FC for their assistance with getting this over the line.

The other appearance milestone sees Will Maisey bring up 50 games for the club.
