TEAM NEWS | Graham returns as Blues Women name squad
The return of club captain Emma Graham from a six-month injury layoff is the headline news as Darryl Veenendaal and Peter Frost name their Bedford Blues Women squad for the final home fixture of the season vs St Neots at Goldington Road tomorrow (KO 2pm).
Graham – who made history by scoring the first ever points for the side back in 2021 – suffered an ACL injury in pre-season which has so far prohibited her from leading the side out in competitive action having been named skipper just days before.
The Blues Foundation Ambassador will play a cameo role from the bench while influential fly-half Lucy Middleton has shaken off her own injury concerns to again lead the side from the off.
Within the matchday squad, there are five players who will be playing at Goldington Road for the very first time – namely Heather Cousins, Natasha Taylor, Elena Tipton, Alyce Trude and Kate Barber.
