TEAM NEWS | Three changes for Richmond
Mike Rayer has named his side as Bedford Blues look to maintain their recent momentum at Goldington Road in what is their final Friday Night Lights fixture of the campaign (KO 7:45pm).
The two sides have a long-established history since a first meeting in 1931 but it’s Richmond who have had the better of the spoils in recent times, winning the last three meetings contested including their most recent visit to Goldington Road.
Blues will be looking to turn the ascendency back in their favour under the lights backed by the Championship’s most vociferous and loyal supporters.
This will be the 76th time Bedford have faced Richmond throughout history and Rayer makes three changes compared to the side that secured an away bonus point victory at Hartpury last time out.
There is just one change to the forwards pack which sees Ed Prowse named as the starting tighthead for the first time in a Championship league fixture since October.
A double backs replacement sees Louis Grimoldby and Jamie Elliott named in the Starting XV.
Osman Dimen continued his return to fitness by featuring for Welsh invitational Crawshays in midweek but is not yet ready to feature in Championship action, with Jacob Fields, Alex Woolford, Jordan Onojaife, Jac Arthur, Matt Worley and Michael Le Bourgeois also unavailable for selection.
Captain Alex Day will again lead the side out, this time on his 50th Blues appearance.
