All form goes out the window on Derby Day with Ampthill in particular looking to exact revenge following Bedford’s Boxing Day victory at Goldington Road earlier in the season.
Both sides will be looking to return to winning ways after frustrating results this past weekend. For Mike Rayer’s side, a final away fixture gives them the opportunity to sign off in style following a strong season on the road including a thumping win at Cornish Pirates.

For two teams separated by so few miles, it’s somewhat of a surprise to have such little history throughout the years with all the previous competitive meetings coming in the past few years.
Blues have pulled back the ascendency a little bit after two wins in the past three meetings, but still trail the overall series four wins to three in Ampthill’s favour. Rayer’s side will have a rare opportunity to complete a first league double over their neighbours on Saturday.
