MATCH FOCUS | England U19s v Italy U19s this Friday
Rugby Weekender begins under the Friday Night Lights as England U19 and Italy U19 look to continue recent form when they collide for this international bout at Goldington Road (KO 7:45pm).

Big Game Preview
This is the final opportunity for the two squads to prepare in match action ahead of the IRB Junior World Championships this June in South Africa.
The two sides possess players who recently featured in the U20s Six Nations campaign, while also looking to blood in some new caps under the lights at Goldington Road.
In terms of U19s level, the two sides met last year over in Italy with a 41-20 victory to England. Since then, Italy have recently been on a two-game tour against Wales, winning both matches, while Alan Dickens’ England defeated the Welsh just last Saturday in a 60-12 success.
International Rugby Returns to Goldington Road
This is the fourth meeting between England and Italy representative sides at Goldington Road. England currently hold the bragging rights having won all three games, which started back on Friday 16th February 2001 when England ‘A’ defeated their Italian counterparts. It was a star-studded line-up with Josh Lewsey, David Flatman, Steve Borthwick, Andy Goode, Lewis Moody, Ben Kay and Andy Gomarsall, just some of the names to run out.
In recent years, Blues have played host to two sell-out internationals in respective fixtures between the U20s and the Women’s sides in 2019.
A crammed 5,000 filled in both times as the young English side won 35-10 on Friday 8th March, then the Women’s side secured a Quilter International victory to round off their Autumn campaign with a 60-3 success on Saturday 23rd November.
