Pre-Season kicks off with trip to Swansea

Bedford Blues will head across The Severn Bridge for their first pre-season friendly this Summer as they travel to face Welsh Premiership outfit, Swansea RFC in a match hosted at nearby Morriston on Friday 11th August (KO 7:15pm).

Mike Rayer’s side – who will spend the weekend on the Welsh coast as part of a training camp – begin preparations for the 2023/24 Championship campaign against a side who recently marked their 150^th anniversary celebrations and compete at the top level of the club game in Wales.

Swansea is a club well known to Bedford having been the first Welsh side Blues ever faced back in January 1895. Frequent meetings also occurred in the 1980s and 1990s, and most recently in 2010/11 for a British & Irish Cup encounter.

Full ticketing information for this fixture will be announced by both clubs in due course. The match will take place at Morriston RFC, postcode SA6 6JS.

An additional announcement will also be made soon regarding our home pre-season fixture against Northampton Saints, which is included in the 2023/24 Season Ticket Package.
