Bedford Junior Blues Update

Bedford Blues would like to place on record its thanks to two longstanding members of the Bedford Junior Blues Committee who have stepped back from their positions ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.

Chairman Kevin Breeze and Treasurer Chris Wright have both spent the past 15 years on the committee, plus many more years of support prior to formal positions, and announced their decisions ahead of the Junior Blues AGM held back in June.

Kevin will continue in the honorary role of Chairman Emeritus as part of Junior Blues’ 50th year celebrations and provide support towards the future direction and aspirations of the minis & juniors set-up.

During their involvement, there has been a huge amount of positivity with over 500 current members and a wealth of success – including an U16s Bedfordshire Cup victory as part of five trophies collected in the final month of the past season.

The Club would like to thank Kevin and Chris for their many years of dedicated service towards ensuring the game has continued to thrive at youth level and for making Junior Blues the successful hub it is today.

At June’s AGM, Jo Derilo was voted in as the new Chairman and Ben Bifield as Treasurer, the Club wish them luck and support going forward.

With 50 Year Anniversary Celebrations planned, and Junior Blues joining our senior Men’s and Women’s teams in wearing the same design of jersey next season, it continues to be an exciting time. Checkout their website for further details here if you would like to get involved.
