MATCH FOCUS | Derby Day on Saturday
Bedford Blues will be looking for a first victory on the road this season when they make the short trip down the B530 to take on neighbours Ampthill at The Olney Field on Saturday (KO 3pm).

All form goes out the window on Derby Day with Ampthill in particular looking to exact revenge following Bedford’s league double last season.
Both sides can now no longer progress from the group and Ampthill are still looking for their first victory of the campaign after tricky tests against Premiership opposition for both sides. Despite progression to the knockout stages a distant thought, there’s always bragging rights on the line when the two sides collide.
We’ve Met Before
For two teams separated by so few miles, it’s somewhat of a surprise to have such little history throughout the years with all the previous meetings coming in the past few years.
Blues have pulled back the ascendency after three wins in the past four meetings, bringing the series level at 4-4 when looking exclusively at league and cup contests. Both sides will be looking to edge back in-front on Saturday.
